Morning tea and art journaling..

0700 am:

I had my Oolong tea and the company of Kitaro on my IPod touch,
writing my thoughts in my art journal this morning before I start my day at work....

I usually pick a topic and write about it, exploring, translating, observing others and reflecting...
and the journal is where I write about my inner thoughts about these topics...
Today's topic was on "death" and what I perceive it to be..

I found a quote by Kalu Rinpoche

"Our lives are like an hourglass that never stops...
Each moment follows the one before, without end..
from moment to moment , life drains away:
We are babies, then adults, then old and dead,
Each moment follows the one before, without end.
Our lives are like a bubble or a candle;
Impermanence and death are like the wind!"

Happy T Tuesday my dear friends!!

and a happy week to you!!!

That is one powerful quote. I must find this author. Your tea looks very inviting and your journal must be filled with many beautiful thoughts. Happy Tea Tuesday to YOU, dear friend.

Your journal must be a precious thing to look back on ... it is no small thing to be able to verbalize and record one's thoughts ... takes discipline I think!
Death and Dying made me think of this quote by
Crowfoot, Blackfoot warrior and orator
"What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset."

I have always wanted to do a D&Dying altered book or journal and have quite a few quotes that speak to my heart

thank you for a most thoughtful tea visit dear Steph!

Those are some very profound and deep thoughts for such an early hour of the day! I applaud you for the faithful keeping of a journal .... those thoughts are so quickly pushed aside and crowded out by the demands of the day. Thanks for sharing :)

Happy Tuesday! Kimmie
