Being human....Rumi

the mini sketchbook is filling up fast and I'm left with the last 3 pages.
each sketch and painting came with an experience I would not trade for anything....

and at the end of each,

a renewed spirit..
and an insightful exploration of this
wonderful medium of making art....

I am loving every bit of it.......

“This being human is a guest house.
Every morning is a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor...
Welcome and entertain them all.
Treat each guest honorably.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.”
― Rumi

Happy Friday!!!

I really like the blue and greens here, and I love how part of the sketch has very little paint. Really neat look!
