I adore handmade books and this one is precious...

Thank you soo much Corrine!!!
I love the cotton bag so much and coincidentally
it was also the perfect size for one of my latest handmade journals.

Well the cough is slowly settling

although not hundred percent..

but I hope to be back up and about pretty soon..

I must say this bug is one real tough bug to eliminate..

The "preciousness" of life..

This is a page in progress

using the idea of embedded journaling

 background collaged with vintage papers and image of 

a stalk of bougainvillia which is found around the resort. 

I've had a wonderful weekend, resting and reflecting on 

the "preciousness" of life.. 

and as Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche puts it

" Life is fragile, like the dew hanging delicately on the grass,

crystal drops that will be carried away on the first morning breeze."

Love life, Live life

I had a really fruitful weekend.. or rather "artful".

Firstly, I completed 2 altered art projects

and

one of them is shown here:

This is a gift for a colleague of mine,

the background is a crackled finish using Elmer's glue and acrylic paints.

A layer of glaze with titan buff was painted onto the crackled backgound

to give it a "frescoed" look  (just wondering if there's such a description :)) ).

Collage images from scrapbooking papers. 

I hope she''ll like it, I can't wait to present it to her tomorrow. ;)

Secondly,

I made a couple of tags ..

using scraps of papers, envelopes, postage stamps etc...

And

 I am all charged up for the coming week!
