Nature notes...

I completed binding my new sketchbook today..

with an additional painting of

the orange Water Lily for its cover..

working with crackle paste

mixing and glazing with colors,

The signatures were made from cold press watercolor paper

(I love the feel of watercolor paper actually  :)) )

All the rage....

about Artrage!

I had the opportunity to play with this IPAD application

and it got me hooked...

although I do prefer getting my hands dirty..

playing and mixing colors with paints, mediums and collaging...

this could be a nice addition to bring along

on a trip...

or even some lunch time art on the go

to get that creative muse going....

There's definitely more functions to be discovered..and I'll keep you posted... :))

Meanwhile, I think I'll go get my brushes and mediums.... :)

The Holy Basil

Or Tulsi , the "Queen of Herbs" 

known for its medicinal values and antioxidant properties etc etc....

this tea is "herbie" in taste...

and even though Jasmine is added..the "Queen" took centrestage..

I'll take in the "energizing" properties of this tea anytime...:))

How can I resist purple ?..

and using it to paint the water lily was something I had long wanted to do....

Dioxazine purple and cerulean blue...

and Quinacridone nickel Azo Gold...

and a little "vintage" treatment and some collaging later.....

It was a therapeutic process painting this today

and when I signed my name on this piece..

it felt good....:))

and white tea with a floral blend (white house) ...

gives one a 

fruity, floral and a good balance of green and white tea...

and yes inspirational too as I sip up my new found creation
with some evening sketching...
